Thank you, Claudia! I'm happiest when permitting myself to just be me and write from my center instead of calculating how my post will get to the top of a search engine. Sure, there are tricks and those who follow it reap financial gain. I consider myself far more organic than that.

I can really relate to this Marissa - and I think a lot of us are in the same boat. We started blogs because we wanted to have an outlet and to connect. But we got lured away from it by the call of money - or the supposed call of money. (I've done some exploration into this and found that the people who make 'real' money do it as a full time job because it takes that much.)

Anyway, I'm back blogging every day just because. I hope this is your siren's call to return to form. We need more real blogs and less 'buy this' in the guise of blogs.

I've only tried Chobani and I loved it. A lot. I am trying to cut down on dairy, though, so I don't eat it very often. Thanks for the review. I've read about replacing sour cream with yogurt, but I always thought that sounded gross. I'll have to try it.

I'll have to watch for it. Is it a sister company of Dannon? Oikos is, I believe. Most Stoneyfield that I find is vanilla or some other flavor added. Thanks for the insights :)

The thing I love about Stonyfield is their strong stand on GMO products, particularly against GM giant Monsanto. http://www.treehugger.com/green-food/campaign-against-gmo-food-natural-products-expo-west-2012.html

YES! IT was grainy. Perfect description. When I first opened it and saw the little cottage cheesy mini clumps, I double checked the expiration date. It didn't taste or smell bad, but the texture didn't live up to the expectation and prior experiences with creamy Greek yogurt.
Please tell me you'll post pics of the skewers and souvlaki :)

Thanks for the review. Yeah, I fell for the advertising too (not for John Stamos) and bought Oikos a couple months ago to serve as the base for my first attempt at a Tzatziki cucumber sauce to accompany grilled skewers of Greek pork souvlaki. Following the recipe I chose, I drained the yogurt in cheese cloth to remove much of the excess water, given that the cucumber adds a bunch of water when you add it to the yogurt. Well, I wasn't entirely impressed with the resulting *texture*. It was kind of "grainy" and not the smooth, creamy consistency I was expecting. I will buy Chobani next time and report back! :-)

Whoa! Damn woman, you need to come to miserable old England for a relaxing break from the hubbub of daily life. Scary shizzle. I went through a lot during my tenure at LC, but I never saw anyone with a gun. Oy vey.

I always have the hardest time leaving comments on your blog. I usually give up. But maybe it will work this time because I was initially convinced that you hated Charro and wanted to explain that anyone who sailed on the Love Boat wasn't a "starlet" any more. Who IS this person? I need to turn on my freaking TV...
